1) Dress For Success
Every Scandal fan knows that Olivia’s white wardrobe represents her dedication to justice for the innocent. The way you dress is a visual statement of who you are and what you want out of life. It’s hard to walk into a room and own it when it looks like you don’t own any clothes that fit properly. And although Olivia would probably recommend it, you don’t have to wear a suit to show off your skills. Take your appearance seriously and you’re more likely to get the respect you deserve.
2) Think It Through
Olivia and her crew carefully craft every solution and remedy their clients’ wrongdoings by analyzing every outcome – it’s what makes them the best in town. A true Gladiator knows to never pull the trigger too soon. Put in the research, investigate the evidence, and shape a strategy. Act quickly, but not hastily. Being prepared for battle is half the fight.
3) Say It Like You Mean It
Zone out for a few seconds of Scandal and you’ll miss more than a few quippy one-liners from Quinn. The pace of the program moves at a mile a minute and it’s because every character speaks with spirited conviction. Gladiators express themselves boldly and bravely. Speak clearly, confidently, and candidly – even when you’re doubtful about the dilemma at hand. Having trouble taking this one on? Fake it ‘til you feel it.
4) Stitch Up The Wounds
If you’re not making a few mistakes, you’re probably not making much of anything at all. Even the greatest Gladiators slip up sometimes. Don’t get caught floundering in your failures. Focus on being incredible, not invincible. Mend your wounds, learn the lesson, and put your armor on. A Gladiator never runs.
5) Fight For What’s Right
The key component to Gladiator glory: put up a fight and make it count. Show that you’ve got grit, reckless resilience, and a method behind the madness. Step up in support of the honorable and devote yourself to delivering the truth at all costs. Giggle at the thought of giving up, push past your panic, and see it through to the end.
