6 Travel Beauty Essentials I Never Leave Without

In This Post: Next time you’re packing for a trip, don’t leave home without these 6 travel toiletries and travel beauty essentials to keep your skin fresh and protected! Plus, check out this clear makeup bag that makes life SO much easier.

One thing I loved about 2018 was all the traveling I was able to do. There were my family vacations to Orlando and North Carolina, getting to see my best friend during a week in New Jersey, and of course, my first trip overseas when I went to Africa! And while traveling is AMAZZZZZING, my skin (and also my hair) is so temperamental, that any change to my atmosphere or environment tends to take a toll on my complexion. That’s why, as I’m dreaming up the destinations I might be able to travel to this year, I wanted to share with you a few of my must-have travel beauty essentials that help my skin keep its composure.

30 Second Facial

Just like vitamin C can help our body and mind (this article on the cognitive benefits of vitamin C is a great read!) refresh and reenergize, it has a similar effect on our skin. Fresh’s Vitamin Nectar Vitamin C Glow Powder [c/o] is the MVP of travel toiletries. The best way to describe this is that it exfoliates the fatigue right off my face and instantly leaves my skin with a bright, healthy glow. It’s a perfect ritual right for when you get off the plane or after that last stretch of the road trip. Each facial comes in its own little 2 part packet, so they’re extra convenient and can be stashed anywhere!

Award Winning Toner

Whether at home or on the road, I simply cannot live without the Pixi Glow Tonic [c/o]. Not a day goes by that I don’t use it. It has significantly improved the texture of my skin and helps it stay balanced so that it doesn’t get too dry or too oily. Gentle and super effective! I highly recommend grabbing a standard size bottle, the travel size version, and the mini size (it’s only $4 so it’s also perfect for trying this stuff out!) so that you never have to be without your glow!

Quick Eye Rescue

Foreign mattresses, snoring family members in the same room, and long days all contribute to being tired and your eyes will be the first thing to give it away. Nyakio’s Quinoa De-Puffing & Firming Eye Cream will quickly send away those undereye bags and puffy eyelids. The cooling ceramic tip applicator feels so soothing, especially in the morning, and allows this product to get to work right away!

A Quick Refresh

For the inflammation and irritation traveling brings on to my skin, I use Okame’s Skin Replenishing Treatment Mist [c/o]. Its superpowers are healing and hydrating. There isn’t a travel size option, but I recommend grabbing a tiny spray bottle from the dollar store and filling it with this product because you will not want to travel without out!

Volumizing Dry Shampoo

The best dry shampoo to ever walk the planet is Not Your Mother’s Plump for Joy Thickening Dry Shampoo and yes, it comes in a travel size! The benefits of this product are endless – you can usually find the FULL-SIZE can for under $5, it smells lovely, and delivers on adding texture and volume to your hair. Dry shampoo is meant to be worked through your hair, so if you notice a white residue at first, just tousle the spot with your fingers a bit or brush it through and it will go away.

Smooth Hair

Like my skin, I have no idea how my hair will respond to any given trip. Thank goodness for Aveda’s Smooth Infusion Style-Prep Smoother because I truly believe its what is responsible for my hair keeping itself together. It fights humidity in warmer climates while preventing dryness is colder environments that lack moisture in the air. Use this one before styling your hair – I use it on the bottom half of my stands before I blow dry.

I just got this chic, clear pouch from LE LÜXACE [c/o] right before the holidays but I cannot wait to travel with it! Being able to see my beauty products instead of fumbling through my makeup bag had been a game-changer in my morning routine. Plus, it will be nice to put my carry-on beauty essentials in something nicer than a ziplock baggy!
