In The Sunday Edit, we talk about two things: 1) Struggles – real moments that happened from my week that were not so great and 2) Shines – awesome things that happened along with what products have been making my life easier, what new Gem finds I’ve come across, and the best sales going on right now!

Life Update & Thoughts:
Hi Gems,
I always love when I get to write a Sunday Edit from another state! Today, I’m coming at you from New Jersey. My best friend and also one of my mom’s best friends (who we call our aunt because they’re so close) lives here, so we came down to visit for the weekend. I cannot believe these few days are almost over. Time always goes by so fast on weekend trips like this and even though it flew by, I’m so glad we came. Normally, I have a whole to-do list of things I want to get done, even when traveling, and I pure pressure on myself to find time to get them done. This is the first trip where I didn’t feel like I had to do that. I feel like blogging gets to be more of a hobby right now than a career. Although I hope blogging can be my career long term, it’s refreshing and clarifying to just be able to blog from put passion right now. I’m sure part of the reason is also the fact that now my little baby niece is with us and I have a very hard time putting her down (I’m a total baby hog). All my stress seems to disappear when I have her in front of me. It’s amazing how much she’s grown and changed in these first seven weeks! She’s really starting to recognize faces and voices, which is absolutely adorable. And although I cannot get her to do it for photos (of course), she is so giggly and smiley, too – especially in the mornings.
In other news, the floral jumpsuit I told you about in last week’s Sunday Edit came just in time for the trip! I could wait to wear it for the day after we arrived. We ended up visiting the prettiest rose garden and my sister took the loveliest photos for me. Unfortunately, when I went to look at them, for whatever insane reason, only one out of like every 10 photos we took saved (if you have any idea why this might have happened, PLEASE share your thoughts with me!). And of course, it was all the ones where I was picking my wedgie, fixing my hair, or had drunk looking eyes (don’t worry, I’ll post these on Instagram stories as bloopers when I get the outfit post up!). After some ice cream and a break down (because sometimes you just have to cry over failed technology), we went all the way back to retake them and I just couldn’t be any more grateful for her.
Shines:
- Being out of town, seeing my aunt, and spending last night chatting away with my bestie at the Cheesecake Factory.
- I’m always stressed about whether or not my blog photos will happen so I’m very happy my sister was willing to take them. I’m also happy to have gotten so many pictures of me with the baby. My family is terrible with photos and I really love having something to remember moments like this by.
- All of the baby snuggles! She napped on me for hours today and there’s nothing better than that.
- Being with my family. We’re crazy, short-fused and critical when it comes to each other, and can never make decisions on anything, but I love when we’re all together and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Struggles:
- I got no work done this weekend. Whoops.
- I’m tired. So so tired.
- Time needs to slow down. How is it almost June?!
Currently Loving:
- My Gal Meets Glam Beverly jumpsuit. It’s cotton so it’s lightweight and the best thing to live in for Spring and Summer. It’s impossible to wear it without smiling!
- I wore these under $50 heeled sandals all day yesterday without one complaint! I have them in white and I’m about to buy them in either tan or brown too because comfortable summer heels are so hard to find.
Sales:
- Gal Meets Glam: They have has some amazing dresses on sale right now like the Poppy dress (a button down style in a fun rainbow gingham print), the Shannon dress (a quintessential floral maxi), and the Veronica jumpsuit (a comfortable, flowy option for every occasion).

Asking for help on:
- Keep your suggestions on East Coast cities coming, please!
- Since starting my second part-time job, I’m having a challenging time keeping up with both the blog and Instagram. When I don’t post every day (and when I don’t post stories every day), my engagement drops significantly and less of you see my posts because of Instagram’s algorithm (which makes me want to pull my hair out). Please, please help me out by liking, commenting on, and saving stuff so that you keep seeing my posts in your feed! After all, you Gems are the reason I do everything I do!
