To be honest, owning a business doesn’t leave me much time (or funds) to shop these days. So, when I do make retail purchases, 9 out of 10 times they are to buy activewear… I have teaching yoga and the current athleisure trend to thank for that. I’ve always lusted over Free People‘s carefree, relaxed, and bohemian vibe. Continuing to expand from the initial yoga line that launched in 2012, FP Movement brings comfortable and practical clothing with effortlessly chic styles to your favorite activities. Whether you are a (or want to channel your inner…) surfer, yogi, dancer, runner, or overall movement enthusiast, the variety of pieces certainly cater to all types of fitness tribes.
Free People workout clothes hug the body in all the right places and are made for movement, making them go-to pieces for my daily routine… which is normally a mix of business activities and nonstop motion – whether it’s teaching yoga, heading to a barre class, or running to make it on time for my next meeting. I often don’t have time to cater my look to what the day throws at me, so leggings that I can wear to my workout and also dress up with ankle booties are essential to my sanity, and therefore my overall well-being (that’s how I justify the investment in my workout wardrobe anyway).
We already loved Free People for their clothing and their core values of encouraging healthy living in all aspects: mind, body, and soul. And now, this brand’s built a proven track record for fitness apparel too. So, what’s the point in even shopping anywhere else, you know?
In a recent pincrastination session (this is where you procrastinate on adulating or life responsibilities by organizing your ideal life on Pinterest), the getaway worthy prints, tropical hues, innovative deals, and adventurous cutouts of Free People‘s athletic collection splashingly caught my eye (pics and links below, of course).
No matter how close you actually are to the sunshine and sand, shop these pieces to bring out your inner wanderluster and zen out so that you can more smoothly ride the waves of life (and look adorably comfortable while doing it)!
