My favorite fall ankle boots
Comfort is so so important to me in all aspects of my wardrobe. Nothing takes away from the mood boost of a well-styled, confidence-boosting outfit like uncomfortable shoes! Now that I have a few early fall outfits under my belt for the season, like the overalls outfit I wore to the pumpkin patch last week, I’ve fallen in love all over again with my favorite pair of ankle booties: the Sam Edelman Paila Booties.

These Sam Edelman ankle boots are easily the most comfortable pair of ankle boots for fall that I own. I wore them non-stop last fall and I’m sure this season will be no different. I can walk around in them all day without any discomfort (and have done so countless times!). They also feature a solid rubber sole! Unlike most booties where style wins but the soles are slippery, these are not only so chic, but are also practical enough for rain, fall weather, and even icy conditions. I do recommend protecting them with a waterproofing spray first!
The best news is, I found these on sale for an awesome price at quite a few places! Last year they were $160! The hammered buttons allow them to fit in with this season’s trendy ankle boots while still remaining as classic and comfortable as ever.
I’d say they run true to size but they are a little narrow. So, if you plan on wearing them with socks or if shoe width is a concern for you, I’d recommend a half size up. It’s also worth noting that the cognac pair is vegan leather, however, some websites have the black version listed as leather, so I’m not positive if the black ones are genuine leather or vegan.
