I really love February. There’s something magical that happens when February fashion rolls around (and it’s not just love being in the air). Its playful hearts and charming shades provide a welcoming transition between the somberness of winter wardrobes and the whimsical, light-heartedness of Spring’s colors and patterns. Basically, it means SPRING IS COMING because after February is March and March is essentially Spring. So, if you’re feeling the winter gloom, let yourself be wrapped up in the love of February. It doesn’t even have to be romantic love, self-love is just as important and this month is a great opportunity to show yourself more of it. There are just the cutest sweaters out right now with loving hues, romantic details, and all of the hearts. I hope you pick up one to wear as a reminder to engage more with love for both yourself and others.
On a recent trip to LOFT, this tie back sweater (it’s 40% off right now!) instantly caught my eye and I practically haven’t taken it off since! In addition to the “pressed petal” (as if that isn’t the most perfect thing to call a color!) option I’m wearing here, it also comes in a “grey heather” version. It does run a bit small. I’m wearing the small here, but I strongly debated a medium, so if you want a slouchier look, definitely size up!
To keep the flirty details of the look going, I also fell in love with this flirting black Flounce Skirt. It is such an easy piece to wear and the elastic waistband makes it extremely comfortable (and the elastic kept the sweater held in perfectly). It’s the perfect length for my 5’6″ frame and makes my legs look much longer than they actually are (always a bonus!). I wore it with my favorite pair of nude pumps for another look you’ll see soon and was equally as confident while wearing it. So flattering and worth every single penny! Also comes in a beautiful “winter velvet” version.
