The Look: Aerie Sweatshirt // Aerie Leggings (40% off right now!) // Aerie Bandana/Scarf (similar) // Similar Shoes

I’m feeling very uncomfortable with me right now (not to be confused with unconfident, because, like, I do genuinely feel like I’m a cool person). Just questioning every move I make. Overanalyzing like it’s going out of style. Not being able to sit still. I don’t feel at home in my mind or my body.

It’s probably like 10% because the season is changing and the reality that once the fall cozies wear off, we’ll be in the awfulness of winter.

But it’s really like 90% because of all the changes going on in my life. You can follow me on Instagram for more of those kind of life updates.

I went into the mall looking for something chic. I had fall florals on the brain. I even was considering trying on a pair of sock boots. But store after store, nothing was speaking to me. Nothing felt comforting like a perfectly fitting dress or the prettiest colored pleated skirt usually does. Yes, even fancy clothes count as “comfortable” to me if they make me feel like the best version of myself!

With 10 minutes before closing, I saw the most snuggly looking plush turtlenecks peaking at me through the Aerie windows whispering, “we got you”. So, I got lured in.

I didn’t end up getting one of the sweaters that initially caught my eye because they looked very toasty and I knew we would be shooting in 90 degree weather the next day, but I did grab this dreamy sweatshirt with the most lovely wildflower lacy detail on the hem! A few other favorites are this olive turtleneck sweatshirt that screams fall, this oversized chenille turtleneck (the “Pastel Orchid” color is so pretty!), and this classic hometown sweatshirt.

Then, there’s these leggings that I legitimately cannot stop wearing because they’re the next best thing to wearing no pants. With a weightless touch, flattering high-waisted, and a perfect 7/8 length that hits above the ankle, you’re going to be SO glad that they come in 4 different colors (burgundy, dusty sage, steel blue, and black) so that you can wear them like everyday! Grab them right now because they’re currently 40% off! Also, they are not see-through – woohooo! When in doubt, always size up in leggings for optimal coverage. You should know, there are reviews of them showing sweat during workouts, so save these for every day wear.

Together, these pieces of clothing reminded me that when everything else falls apart, yoga pants will always be there with a supportive hug and that the tiniest details can add a dose of chic that takes any sweatshirt to the next level. Head over to Aerie to grab your fix of the softest oversized shirts, on point loungewear, and all the sweater weather basics to prepare for fall. And if you’re one of like the 5 people out there like me that aren’t ready to feel all the fall feels, or you’re also feeling a bit uncomfortable about everything right now, I’m here for you – you’re always welcome to slide into my DMs. <3

These pictures were taken at Round Hill Park in Elizabeth, PA, which is just the cutest place. In addition to lots of walking trails and picnic areas, it also has a working exhibit farm with animals like horses, chickens, donkeys, and rabbits that set up such a charming barn setting to wander around. If you live around the Pittsburgh area, definitely check it out, especially if you have kiddos!
