Cozy Lightweight Sweaters

Don’t worry, this post is not about fall and sweater weather! I know the fashion world is already thinking ahead for the next season, but I just can’t get there yet. My mind is still completely set on summer and I’m doing whatever I can to savor this season. Right now, I’m focused on adding pieces to my closet that 1.) I’ll be able to wear on my vacation that’s coming up the second week of August and 2.) will be able to help transition my summer pieces into fall (because I’ll wear my pretty summer dresses, like the purple wrap-like dress underneath my sweater in these photos, for as long as I can get away with it!).

In addition to the beachy basket bags I mentioned in one of last week’s post, another must-have vacation essential is a cozy lightweight sweater. I have to admit, I’ve made the mistake of not bringing one or two sweaters on vacation before (in my failed attempts to pack lightly) and I always regret it. It’s terrible when you’re trying to enjoy a moment and all you can think about is how chilly you are! So, whether you have an end of summer vacation coming up or, dare I say it, you want to prepare for those upcoming summer days that quickly turn into chilly fall evenings at night, I’ve got you covered with cozy knits to keep you toasty!

I recently picked up this curved hem sweater at Target (on sale now for $18!!) and it truly is SO cozy. The fit is great too – it’s nice and loose, but the cut of the hem keeps it cute and flattering. This casual piece is perfect for throwing over dresses like I did here, but would be just as charming over yoga pants and a t-shirt. There’s also this slightly slouchy sweater (part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!) that is a bit more fitted, but still loose enough for that cozy feel. I’m also loving the ruffles on the back of this cardigan. Check out some more options below!
