Decorating with Jewel Tones

I absolutely love putting styles together to create a room’s theme – having a particular color in mind for a room can really bring a space together and make shopping for decor much easier!

Although I’m not living on my own yet, I have always had such a vision of what I want every room in my future home to look like. One of my favorite colors is a deep, jewel toned green – which is where my blog color scheme came from! That’s why putting together a living room inspiration using this jewel tone has been so much fun!

The Allongé logo was an amazing image to use while creating a space with jewel toned decor!

Jade Velvet Chair: Not only does this chair look super comfortable, it’s a gorgeous jewel toned color as well! I would love chairs like these in my living room!

Gold Decorative Pillow: I love throw pillows so much and you can really never have too many in my opinion! Having a bright and patterned pillow on a solid piece of furniture dresses up a piece so much and makes it pop.

White Shag Rug: This rug is one I bought for my bedroom and I am in love with it! It’s a different shape than most rugs which is nice – I also love shag rugs especially in a space like this Beverly Hills inspired/jewel toned living room!

Golden Side Table: This is one of the prettiest side tables I have ever laid my eyes on. Tables that have glass tops are so much more elegant and sophisticated – I also love the shape of this one. Having side tables in your living room can help separate two spaces as well which is helpful if you have lots of seating! They also hold gorgeous decor. 😉

Table Lamp: Lighting is so important for when the sun isn’t shining in any room – that’s why having gorgeous lamps like this one are wonderful! I love differently shaped lamp bases like this one has. On the other hand, if there were a more simple lamp base, a fun way to dress it up would be with a patterned lamp shade!

Stacking Vase: This vase comes in multiple sizes – I love the way it looks to stack different sized vases next to each other. However even if it’s displayed on it’s own, a colorful glass vase adds an extra pop of color to the room! Another way to dress it up is adding some pretty flowers in it!

Agate Book Ends: These gorgeous agate rocks double as book ends for a book shelf or even for decoration! I often see pieces like these in Home Goods and am dying to get my hands on one – I think they are a great conversation piece!

Wall Mirror: Having a large mirror on your wall makes for great decor and like this one, they’re often gorgeous! This mirror has an interlocking, golden border making it far from simple. I always have a mirror on the wall of any room I design!

Starburst Wall Decor: I have similar starburst decor pieces hanging in my bathroom and I just LOVE staring at them! Mine are from Target, but you can find these almost anywhere since they’re so popular lately! I love having three different sized starbursts to stagger next to each other on a wall. They go beautifully next to a large mirror or even some frames! I also love that they give texture, since most wall decor are flat frames and such.

Velvet Day Chaise: Does anyone else think that this chaise looks SO comfy?! It is such an elegant piece and it’s described as being extremely durable. A day chaise is a nice alternative to the common couch – I love the shape of this one and the built in barrel side pillows also!

Gold Toned Coffee Table: Similar to having an oddly shaped wall mirror, having an abnormally shaped coffee table brings life to a room as well! Following the same pattern with a glass topped table, this piece gives a room light and life! Having a table with an angular base and a circle glass top show the tables shape off beautifully!

Glass Orb/Knot: This is possibly my favorite piece of decor ever! I have one of these in my bedroom on top of a stack of books. I love the way this pieces shape is so different from anything else in a room. Glass knots are so fun to look at and are an extra, fun piece to display for you and your guests to see!

Decorative Vase: I have a slight obsession with vases and for good reason, too! It’s interesting looking at vases with so many colors incorporated into it. These vases are often made from glass found all over the world, too, which makes for another great conversation piece!

For this design I added the gold and white accents to make the jade colored accents and furniture pop! This jewel tone is a pretty vibrant color – here’s some tips I rounded up on decorating with vibrant colors!

Living in luxury may seem like only a dream, but decorating with these glam and bold accent colors will make you feel like you’re sitting in your mansion overlooking Hollywood. I think it’s important that each room has a theme and conversation pieces in it and that’s exactly what this living room set up does!
