Allyn Lewis: How do you select such unique items to sell in your boutique?
Kandy Barkley: I select items that are unique in the sense that they are more outside of the box with their prints, colors as well as their style. I want women to feel special and not like they are going to walk out of my store and walk into someone else wearing the same outfit they just bought.
AL: What fashion trend are you loving right now?
AL: What’s your favorite style tip?
KB: My favorite style tip is to try on outfits that you normally wouldn’t go for. Those are always the items that you end up falling in love with! I pull items for my customers all the time and so many times they tell me they would never have picked something I picked out for them, but it’s the one thing they end up loving the most! So even though it might not look like your favorite thing on the hanger, you always have to give it a try because it may just be your favorite outfit of them all! And to add to that, the most important style tip of all, never buy something you don’t love!
AL: What sets Eye Kandy apart from other boutiques?
KB: What sets Eye Kandy apart from other boutiques truly is the unique attention to customer service and the amount of time and attention we give our customers. We go out of our way to be personal shoppers for our customers and help them pick items that are going to work best with their body type, the color of their hair, the color of the skin type, etc. On top of that, we get to know our customers and they truly become friends with us!
