When I was in high school, I literally spent my summers babysitting the whole neighborhood. My mom’s house is right next to the development’s pool, so I’d take the kids swimming at least a few times a week. No matter what two-piece I bought, I was always retying strings, pulling my bottoms up, or holding on to it trying to prevent things from falling out. I always thought about how nice it would be to wear a one-piece, but all the options were just so ew and mom-ish at the time.

I’m so glad that we’ve come such a long way for one-piece swimsuits! I actually had a hard time picking which one to get myself this summer because there are so many cute, flattering options out there. I went with this plum fringe halter from Target. It’s the first one-piece swimsuit I’ve owned in literally years, and it’s made life so much more enjoyable when I’m playing with kids in the pool or when I’ve gone to waterparks with my fam. As much as I love a cute bikini, it’s so nice sometimes to have the coverage and security one-piece swimsuits provide. I also really wanted this one (I love the look of the delicate crochet panels!), but so did my sister, and they only had one… and she won, apparently.
Today, I’m rounding up some of my favorite one-piece swimsuits that are glamorous, flattering, and all under $100. Tip: If you’re unsure of sizing, go with something accommodating like a halter that ties or something with adjustable straps that will give you some leeway.
