Brenda Tanus of Tanus Designs and Jaimie Hilfiger – American heiress, socialite, model, and fashion icon – have joined forces to create a fresh, glamorous jewelry line, known as the GLAMLUXE collection. We spoke with both Brenda Tanus and Jaimie Hilfiger to learn more about their draw dropping jewelry collaboration.
What was the inspiration for the GLAMLUXE collection?
Brenda Tanus: “I was totally inspired by the glamour and elegance of Jaimie Hilfiger. Also, I wanted to design an out-of-the-ordinary collection, ensuring high quality and glamour on each design… Jaimie helped me so much with inspirational photos and her own style perspective.”
Jaimie Hilfiger: “Since Brenda has extensive jewelry design experience, it was very easy for her to create something according to my inspiration. Once I saw the sample piece, Brenda and myself both made tweaks until we got it exactly the way we envisioned it. Together we made the ultimate ‘dream team.’ We wanted these pieces to be timeless and classic with a modern twist. The beauty of the GLAMLUXE collection is found in the quality of the designs and the high-quality materials used.”

What was it like to work together on this project?
Jaimie Hilfiger: “It is such a pleasure to collaborate with a designer like Brenda Tanus. We are actually both Virgos so we are a lot alike by nature. Brenda is professional, articulate, stylish, and a perfectionist. These are qualities that I greatly admire….The thing that sets Brenda Tanus apart from other jewelry designers is how closely she pays attention to detail. When designing our first collection together, if there was one element that needed to be changed, Brenda knew exactly what I was thinking even before I had to say anything. I am so excited to be able to collaborate with her further on upcoming collections.”
Brenda Tanus: “Collaborating with Jaimie is amazing, because she is always open to any idea! She is really down-to-earth, professional and dedicated…Regardless of being Tommy Hilfiger’s niece, she is a hard worker and I really admire her. She is building her own path.”
Did your styles blend well together?
Jaimie Hilfiger: “When I first saw TanusDesigns.com, I was so impressed with the style and sophistication of the website that I knew Brenda and I shared the same style. Once I took a look at the jewelry, I fell even more in love with Tanus Designs and Brenda’s glamorous pieces.”
How would you style the pieces from the collection?
Brenda Tanus: “I wear them in any evening ‘soiree’ or to a glamorous event at night. Sometimes, I wear the bracelet and the necklace with a casual outfit to glam it up, and I wear the earrings on a daily basis. The incredible thing about this collection is that you can wear all the pieces at the same time or separately, day or night…I would like women to feel glamorous and special by wearing these pieces, because each one was designed and created with love and inspiration. Also, I would love to define the modern glamorous woman.”
Jaimie Hilfiger: “ The pieces from the GLAMLUXE collection are made for glamorous women or for women who want to add a touch of luxury to their style. My personal style is all glam, all the time, so I love to wear my pieces when I am going out at night wearing an embellishment dress made from luxe fabric. The Juliet Rose Cuff bracelet makes such a statement that you don’t need to wear a million bracelets for your wrists to shine. It’s the perfect piece to draw all eyes toward you!”
Which piece is your favorite and why?
Which piece is your favorite and why?Jaimie Hilfiger: “This is a very tough question, but I would have to say the Flame Lilly Earrings are my favorite…they are delicate enough for all ages to wear, but still make a standout glamorous statement. The Swarovski crystals sparkle so exquisitely that they can be worn to a formal event or to a night out with your girlfriends! They are extremely versatile, classically chic, and elegant. I believe that they are the perfect compliment to any look!”
Can you describe the charity project that the two of you are collaborating on in the future?
Brenda Tanus: “This collaboration goes beyond our passion for fashion…actually, we are searching for a Cancer Association to work with and promote awareness, raise money to help with treatments and bring conscience.”
