I know some of you are capitalizing on every minute of your weekend to cross things off your to-do list like a boss. So, I’m asking you to stop for just a few moments and ask yourself an important question:
Is your business REALLY working for you?
Sure, you might have your full load of clients, customers are buying your product left and right, profits are increasing, and you have more people than ever reaching out to you about collaborating, so everything’s great right?
But what price are you paying to attain this standard measurement of success? Being an entrepreneur is rough, like really really rough. Are you working 24/7? Do you dreamstorm (this is where you have dreams about your clients because your mind literally never ever shuts off)? Are you neglecting your friends and family because your business takes up every ounce of your time and not to mention your energy?
I keep hearing people say that it takes YEARS for a business to become successful and profitable. Honestly, I think that’s complete BS. If you’re standing on the sidelines waiting to hit that mark because “that’s just how things work” you are not only selling yourself short, but there’s also some component of your business that’s lacking.
The truth is, you can start a business and earn money tomorrow. Seriously. Here’s the secret sauce to success:
- You need to fill a void. What’s the point of wasting your time, energy, and money on solving a problem that’s already been solved? Once you have your solution, you have to take it to a specific target audience that actually needs what you have to offer. Stop trying to market to everyone on the planet.
- You need to have a crystal clear vision for your business. If you don’t know the value of exactly what you have to offer, how it will change the lives of your consumers, and how you’re going to build your world-changing empire from it, then how is anyone else going to be able to tell what you’re doing?
- You need to create multiple channels of income (for now). There are literally a thousand ways to make money online. So, if you’re developing a product, make money while you’re still waiting. Be honest, real, and transparent and blog about the process and what you’re going through. Drive people to a website and put ads on it. You can make a nice little side chunk of cash off any website if you drive enough of the right people to it.
- You need to build a bond with people. Your customers should feel like your best friend. Everything you say and do needs to resonate with them so closely that they are like, “OMG how did she/he know I feel like that?!” You have to have the power to create an immediate connection upon initial contact.
