Julia Berolzheimer x LAKE Pajamas

My Lake Pajamas review from last summer paints a clear picture of just how much I love this sleepwear brand. So, when they teamed up with my favorite blogger, Julia Berolzheimer, AND released options for littles that I could match with my nice, I instantly knew launch day would be an exhausting day for my wallet.

The Julia Berolzheimer x Lake Pajamas Collection

The. JB x LAKE collaboration collection features traditional pajamas along with transitional bed to daytime pieces in simple prints and soft cotton fabrics. I picked the Pima Short-Long Set for me and the Baby Shorts Set for my niece both in the “meadow” print which is sweet and elegant without a floral look. There’s also a blue with white version of the meadow print, too.

Knowing she’d only fit in her set for a short time, I grabbed this print since it felt neutral enough for my future kids. It’s terrible because I keep buying things for me niece justifying purchases by saying, “my niece can wear it now and then I’ll (hopefully) have kids that can wear it soon”.

Not being able to resist an opportunity to coordinate with my favorite toddler, I also grabbed myself the Poplin Pants Set in Blue Garden and my niece the Kids Shorts Set in Blue Garden. The adult set features a springtime blue with white print and the kids set is the reverse with white fabric and a blue print.

Why are LAKE Pajamas Amazing?

I recommend reading my full Lake Pajamas review if you’re on the fence about trying this brand. To sum it up, LAKE offers luxuriously soft pajamas that you’ll never want to take off. I’ve washed mine over and over and they are just as soft and comfy as when I bought them. They are absolutely my favorite jammies that I own. Plus, my niece gets SO excited when we match!

Baby Set Fit & Sizing

My niece had just turned 2 at the time we took these photos. Since the 2 in the Kids Shorts Set sold out fast on launch day and I missed it, I ended up grabbing the 18-24 months. She’s tall but thin for her age, so these currently fit her perfectly. I know they won’t fit for long, so I never dry them.

Kids Set Fit & Sizing

I wasn’t able to get a 2 in the Kids Shorts Set in Blue Garden, but I was able to scoop at a 4 and a then a 3 that later became available. The 3 actually fits her just fine, so I image there isn’t too much of a difference between the 18-24 months of the Baby set and the 2 of the Kids set. The 4 is loose, but wearable. They doesn’t fall down or look too big. However, these jammies aren’t not flame resistant, so they should fit snug for safety. I do think they would have been just fine if I dried them. So, like adult Lake styles, don’t be afraid to size up in the kids pieces.

Adult Pima Cotton Set Fit

As far as the pieces for me, I noticed my first pair of Lake Pajamas did shirk a little, even though I never dried them. This time, I wanted to see if I could get away with the next size up. The medium in the JB x LAKE Pima Short-Long Set felt big but still wearable at first and is completely fine now that I have washed them.

Adult Poplin Pants Set Fit

I am especially glad I got the Poplin Pants Set in a medium as it’s not big or loose at all. I did not find this set to be generously sized like the Pima sets. If they were available, I may have considered trying a large for a roomier fit and a little bit more length. I haven’t washed them yet, but I am wishing on all the stars that they don’t shrink.

JB x LAKE Restock!

Most styles completely sold out when this collection first launched, but Lake did just restock a bunch of the pieces earlier this week. So, don’t hesitate if any of these speak to you because they won’t last long and we don’t know if they’ll return.
