On Valentine’s Day, Kati Stern of Venexiana debuted her enchantingly fierce Fall/Winter 2015 collection under the tents at Lincoln Center during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Launched in 2003, the label is known for it’s haute couture elegance and rock ‘n’ roll flair selection of luxurious women’s eveningwear.
The punk-rock flavored FW15 fashion show encompassed the perfect balance of elegance, structure, and dazzle, bringing a fresh edge to her renowned style. The show began with flowing nude and flush toned gowns gracing the runway, followed by the introduction of sparkling fabrics and gorgeous iridescent hues, and closed with sophisticated gowns dawning black lace overlays. Even with the array of exquisite fabrics used from, the movement of every gown was flawless and the details were impeccable. Mixed textures and complimenting trains were also trending throughout the collection.
In addition to her acclaimed fashion designer status, Kati Stern is also a flamenco dancer, professional architect, classically trained pianist, and strategic business woman. In an interview with Washington Square News, when asked about her company’s growing success, she replied, “It’s spreading around more in Europe and US. I’m fortunate enough to have my Middle East clients—who I love by the way! “ She adds, “I see my company growing with limits. I feel that when a company becomes very large, something goes. And I just want to keep it in limitations as long as I can.”
