Whether it’s a mood-boosting dress, super soft pajamas that make unwinding a bit easier, or a sweater that’s cozy enough to encourage me to brave colder temperatures, comfort has always been a driving factor behind many of my wardrobe additions. Is it bad to use clothing as a coping mechanism to console my anxious nature? Well, I do it often because it can be really challenging for me to relax. Recently, I was searching for pieces that were going to immerse me in comfort. That’s when I stumbled upon Lake pajamas!

Are lake pajamas worth it?
After reading practically all of the Lake pajamas reviews I could find and seeing some of my favorite bloggers write about them, I finally ordered their Pima cotton pajama set in lavender (also available in a lavander long sleeve pj set). I had to chase down the FedEx man to get them in time for my recent getaway to Deep Creek, Maryland. Thank goodness I did because the simplistically elevated feeling they gave me when I had them on complemented the atmosphere of my room at Red Barn Inn. A comfy, cute pajama set in a tranquilly designed room ensured I was better prepared to soak up the experience. So, yes, these cute cotton pajama sets are worth the price.
These are High Quality Pajamas:
Okay, I wish I could upload these in a way that you could touch them virtually because you’ll want 10 pairs once you feel them! They really are luxuriously soft and I swear they become even softer the more I wash and wear them. They are made from the highest quality pima cotton fabric. Pima cotton has a higher quality than standard cotton and is known for its durable, soft fibers. There’s enough stretch to keep them super comfy, but not enough stretch to feel like they’re clingy. I’m also a fan of how thick they are. They feel more luxurious and thicker than pajamas I’ve purchased in the past while still being very soft and breathable. I’m glad I went with the bundle set because I can wear them for any season and I’ll probably add one of the sets with a long sleeve shirt in another colorway to my pj collection before winter to stay extra cozy.
My mom couldn’t believe I spent over $100 on a three-piece pajama set, haha. A part of me couldn’t believe it either! Investing in quality is something I’ve only recently begun to prioritize in my clothing purchases. I never regret it though! Like my Summersalt Sidewstroke bathing suit, I often find the pieces I research thoroughly and pay a bit more for end up being my favorites. Not only did I find joy in supporting an up-and-coming women-owned brand, but I like knowing the quality will keep them in my wardrobe for years to come.

Lake Pajamas Sizing & Length:
I’ve tried on both the small and medium sizes of this Lake pajamas set (which was available in lavender at the time). The small fit me perfectly out of the package and the medium felt really big. For reference, I’m about 5’5″ and the small pants hit me right at the ankles (the inseam measures 27″). The medium pants did go down to the floor but weren’t too long either. However, the waist on the medium was too big for me. I ended up opting for the small and have been hanging them to try. I have a lot of clothes that I don’t dry, so I’m already used to this as part of my laundry routine. However, if you’re someone who puts everything in the dryer, I definitely recommend sizing up if you prefer a loose fit to your jammies. They are made from 100% pima cotton, so they will shirk when dried (or when washed in hot water). I’m also linking to the Lake pajamas size chart here.
Lake Pajamas Prints and Colors:
Striped pajamas are Lake’s signature style. I’m not always a stripes person, but I am a fan of the feminine, thin stripes that are featured throughout the options from Lake pajamas. This year, they have some really adorable options for Christmas pajamas with the “Merry” long sleeve holiday pj set and the charmingly festive “Mistletoe” waffle knit pajamas set. You can’t go wrong with a pair of classic red striped pjs for winter either!
There are even some poplin cotton pieces that you can put on regardless of if you’re lounging at home or need a laid back look for running around. I can see myself packing navy stripe boxers for a beachy vacation to wear in the room or to throw on over my favorite bathing suit.
