Outift Details: Karen Kane Handkerchief Dress [c/o] | Karen Kane Maxi Dress [c/o] | Castañer Espadrille Wedges
With back-to-school season right around the corner and people already whispering about pumpkin spice lattes, I’m deliberately denying that summer is coming to a close. I am, however, planning another trip to Charleston in September, so I’m excited to be back in its coastal atmosphere when fall will be in full force back home.
Timeless Palm Print Dresses
All summer long, two of my favorite dresses that I’ve been reaching for over and over again have been this handkerchief crepe dress and this sleeveless maxi – both in a black and white palm print from Karen Kane. While I’ve enjoyed wearing them for multiple occasions throughout the recent months, I’ve been especially gravitating towards them in these late weeks of summer as we get closer to fall. The print is such a great, subtle take on the vibrant tropical trend that comes around every year while the classic black and white color palette ensures that these are both timeless styles that I can style year after year.
Palm Print Dress – Handkerchief
The handkerchief dress is made from a breezy, non-clingy woven fabric and the swaying hemline has proven essential for hot summer days like when I wore it on a trip to the zoo (oh my gosh, my niece looks so tiny in the photos from that day!). I love that I can dress it down with comfy flats or dress it up with my favorite Castañer espadrille wedges.
Palm Print Dress – Maxi
I’ve loved the palm print maxi dress as a coverup for pool days and an easy style for vacation – especially since it has a slit on the side to allow for extra airflow and movement. It just looks a dress you should be barefoot with while you take an evening stroll along the shoreline with your toes in the sand! The knit fabric is more body-hugging than the handkerchief dress, but I find the print to be slimming and flattering.
Both Dresses are on Sale!
I just looked and both of these dresses started out at $125+ and now you can find them on super sale! The handkerchief dress is on sale for $83 at Nordstrom (plus size available here) and it’s a steal at Lord & Taylor for only $33 with more sizes are available on Amazon. The maxi dress is on sale for $78 at Bloomingdale’s and on the Karen Kane website. You won’t regret adding one of these dresses to your wardrobe because either one can stand the test of time and will be a classic style forever.
There’s also a shorter halter style on the Karen Kane website for $64 and I just adore this jumpsuit in a similar palm print that also incorporates blue leaves.
