Worth the Hype: Milton’s Ice Cream Parlor
When it comes to Hershey Park food, there are no shortages of treats to try. One of the newest sweet experiences is Milton’s Ice Cream Parlor. As part of the new Chocolatetown region at Hersheypark, Milton’s is located just outside the park, so you can stop in regardless of if you’re headed to the amusement park or not.
The atmosphere combines a vintage ice cream parlor look with the cute, contemporary aesthetic that you can expect at trendy cafes and coffee shops. The ice cream is 100% local dairy house-made ice cream, so you can truly taste the difference in freshness. The concept was inspired by Milton Hershey’s “early ventures in sweetness that came before his famous chocolate factory”.
What’s on the Menu?
The Milton’s Ice Cream parlor menu options are truly endless. The assortment of flavors is impressive. You can design your own delicious treat, or try something made from an expert Ice Creamologists. I tried the Reese’s peanut butter ice cream in a fun Reese’s Pieces cone and it was amazing. My family members also had great things to say about the toasted marshmallow flavor! Not only are the flavors delightful, but topping options include everything from house-made potato chips and mini marshmallows to practically any Hershey’s candy you can think of.
Milton’s isn’t the only Hersheypark ice cream parlor. You can also find quality ice cream at the Turkey Hill Creamery inside the park, or over-the-top sundaes and shakes inside Hershey’s Chocolate World (which is also separate from the park and access is free to the pubic).
We only had ice cream at Milton’s, but reviews on Google also rave about their lunch, snack, and “sharables” options, too. Upstairs you’ll find a full-service restaurant, bar, and patio at The Chocolatier, if you’re looking for a more substantial meal. Pieces from the Hersheypark ride collection, past and present, are integrated into the dining decor for a unique atmosphere. Milton’s also shares space with the Chocolatetown Treats gift shop in case you need to pick up any souvenirs.
