I believe in the comfort of fashion. According to Google, the definition of comforting is “serving to alleviate a person’s feelings of grief or distress.” Now, I’m not saying you should be able to walk 4 miles in every pair of fashionable heels or that you can justify socks with Birkenstocks just for the sake of comfort, but what I am saying is that in some sense or another, what you wear should provide you some kind of comfort – whether physical, mental, or emotional. When you find a brand, like the one I’m about to tell you about, that can provide multiple angles of comfort, it’s definitely a hero (channeling my inner Lori Greiner here). Plus, after a long day of running around NYC (check out my first look of the day and it’s adventures here), comfort is definitely on the top of my priority list.
Meet Evy’s Tree, luxury hoodies for everyday life design with not only feel and fit in mind, but also the cuteness factor. I’ve been stalking Evy’s Tree for probably about a year now oohing and awing over literally every Instagram post. So, when they were interested in coming with me to NYFW, I was thrilled! The hope of the brand is that you find something in the shop that you can forever live in, and they’ve definitely accomplished that because I just want to live in everything Evy’s Tree for the rest of my life.
In this look, I’m wearing the Diana Wrap in Black Olive ($119.95). It’s a luxurious medium weight, 100% cotton french terry wrap in the most perfect blend of ash grey and black so you can pair it with literally everything. The edges are left raw to create our laid back distressed look and the neck, lapel and hood are complete with a cable cotton knit collar and hood in an ash grey color. You MUST have this for fall.
I love comfy, cozy fall clothes just as much as the next gal, however what I don’t like about fall is how gloomy everyone’s wardrobes start to look. Come on guys, you can totally rock fall fashion with a pop of color! This is why I paired my wrap with this gorgeous tomato color Amazing Lace Tunic ($36) from Kiki LaRue. I just love the lace detail at the bottom hemline that goes all around the tank – it is simply gorgeous! Paired here with a classes stretch denim skinny ($57) also from Kiki LaRue. My beloved cowboy boots are from Aldo, like 10 years ago, so while you can’t have those exact ones, here are some similar styles you can shop!
Now let’s get into this eye catching necklace! This is the Horizon Necklace ($105) in lavender from Bizu Collection out of Portland, Oregon. Each of their pieces are created by combining woven glass beads with brass or sterling silver frames. The beads are hand sewn, one at a time, into a woven fabric using a traditional beading technique called peyote stitch. This woven fabric is then sewn onto its metal frame, adding both color and texture to each piece. I love jewelry that has a story and unique process behind it! It makes each piece so much more meaningful when you wear it to know where it came from. The look is topped off with Bloom Jewelry earrings and my Carolee crossbody (again).
Last but not least, I just have to tell you about my eyelashes! Look at how full they are! About 4 weeks ago, I started using the Wink all NATURAL eyelash and eyebrow enhancer from Amalie. I knew the product would work (the founder Megan Cox is a brilliant MIT grad), but I can’t believe I’m already seeing results. I just have one thin coat of mascara on my eyelashes in this picture. I have a somewhat serious eyelash obsession and I normally put on THREE different kinds of mascara in the morning to get the look I want. Wink is making my makeup routine SO much easier (and a lot less clumpy). I can’t thank this product enough!
