Pamella Roland Dazzles With Her Spring/Summer 2018 Collection

Pamella Roland shows her Spring Summer 2018 collection at New York Fashion Week

Pamella Roland looked to Monaco for her dreamy, yet glitzy forecast for Spring/Summer 2018. The glamorous city-state has always held a chic and dramatic allure for the fashionable set—who’ve long been drawn to its Mediterranean beaches, dazzling casinos and, of course, the timeless elegance embodied by Princess Grace.

What more perfect inspiration for when the temps start to sizzle again next year? For her Spring/Summer show, the designer envisioned a world of tulle, chiffon, and sparkles. Models floated down the runway in gowns that often looked like they might’ve been designed for a modern-day princess. One of her more colorful collections in recent years, Roland didn’t shy away from making a bright and bold statement. A pink dress embroidered with ostrich feathers was among the showstoppers of the day, but the glam crowd also delighted with sequined and body-conscious gowns with sheer paneling and an ombre silk gown that could’ve been worn by a modern day Grace Kelly. A jaw-dropping feathered coat also caused quite a stir on the catwalk. Perhaps it is not practical for walking around the concrete jungle of Manhattan, but it could be the perfect choice for rolling up at a Monaco luxury hotel.

The runway show attracted A-list celebs like Olivia Cuplo, Olympian Aly Raisman, and the designer’s pals and front row fixtures J Alexander and Nigel Barker from America’s Next Top Model.
