My Seychelles Shoes Review of the Floodplain Booties

With their versatility, functionality, and effortless aesthetic, I certainly have no shortage of ankle boot outfit ideas for this time of year. I recently invested in my first pair of shoes from Seychelles footwear and after taking them out for a few spins so far this season, I couldn’t wait to do a full review on them because they’re AMAZING. Featured in my Seychelles shoes review are the Floodplain booties in Sand (a goes-with-anything lighter taupe shade).

In this post, we’ll cover everything I love about the Floodplain ankle boots, if these Seychelles shoes are comfortable, where to buy booties from the brand, and my favorite Seychelles shoes on sale right now!

Are Seychelles boots comfortable?

1,000% yes. Seychelles shoes have a reputation for being notoriously comfortable. I know this because I read a million Seychelles shoes reviews before buying these! I can now confirm that they uphold this to the most impressive degree. I’m used to always having to break my booties in first before wearing them extensively. Well, I brought these on a trip with me recently before I had a chance to wear them around the house for a few days. They went so perfectly with my outfit that I couldn’t help wearing them. I thought I was going to completely regret that decision! To my surprise, they served me quite well on an afternoon of out of town exploring. No discomfort whatsoever! I completely forgot that I had brand new shoes on and didn’t even realize how impressed I was until later that evening. They really are the most comfortable booties I’ve ever purchased. While I do own other pairs that have become comfortable over time, it’s rare to find ankle boots that are this easy to wear right out of the box.

What I love about the Seychelles Floodplain booties

Other than how impressively comfortable they are, I really love the heel height of these. They’re tall enough to be elegant and slightly dress but not too high that they become uncomfortable.

Notes on sizing:

As far as sizing for the Floodplain booties, I’m normally a 7.5 or an 8. I went with the 8. At first, I thought they were a touch big, but I’m glad I kept that 8 so that I can wear them with thicker socks in cold weather. So, if you plan to wear them with thinner socks, I’d recommend sizing down if you’re in between sizes. But if prefer a thicker sock in the fall/winter months, your normal size will be just fine! I love that this taupe colors makes them just as appropriate for fall and winter as it does for spring outfits.

Here’s the Seychelles size chart:

This size chart from Seychelles is for all of their shoes – booties and beyond.

Seychelles can run big or small depending on the shoe. The good news is, if you Google the Seychelles shoes you’re thinking about buying, you can often find a good amount of reviews from other customers to get insight on if you should size up or down.
