The Look: Swiss Dot Yellow Dress ($44) // Mint Floral Slip-On Shoes ($14)
In my quest for vacation pieces last week before heading to Florida, I came across this gorgeous yellow swiss dot dress that I just keep falling more and more in love with. I was so excited to wear it that I brought it out for the 1st full day of my vacation. After I got back from a morning workout class at Pure Barre, my family and I headed to walk around one of the local malls.
The same day, it also snowed back home in Pittsburgh, so I’ve been trying my absolute best to be fully present on this trip and to soak up the sunshine as much as possible. Everything is just so pretty here. Even the outside of the shopping centers are filled with palm trees and vibrant flowers. We typically go to Orlando in the summer, but it’s been quite lovely this time of year. It’s still hot, but not the scorching 95+ degree days that we were faced with on our trip to Disney World last July.
It was so nice to be in warm weather with less layers on and twirling around in spring colors! Like I said in my Instagram post, I’m a better person when it’s warm enough to wear cute dresses. With the color appropriately called “lemonade”, this dress just makes me so happy. I love that the little raised polka dots give the dress a unique texture and a touch of a vintage feel. It also comes in a pretty light blue, bright fascia, clean white, and classic navy. This one is only $44, but if you’re looking for some more upscale choices, this chiffon dress, this blush wrap dress, and this crochet lace midi dress are all beautiful swiss dot options. This ruffle blouse has the potential to become a spring staple of your wardrobe and you can’t go wrong with a black wrap blouse either.
The most important thing about shopping for spring is that you find styles that make you happy! We’re just getting out of a gloomy, never-ending winter, so embrace the airy colors (pastels are in) and playful fabrics.
