The Power of Manifesting Dreams (and How to Do It)

When was the last time you checked off a dream or accomplishment on your life list? I say life list because I think a bucket list puts a time restriction on your goals whereas a life list gives you a positive outlook on your time left. Think about your dreams you had as a young adult. Where did your imaginations take you when you went to sleep at night or when you were supposed to be working but pictured being anywhere else instead?

I think the power of manifesting is imperative to having a well-balanced life. You have to work at it, but please do not be discouraged, for the work you put into this will bring lifelong rewards. It is the feeling of accomplishing something you thought could never be done that makes you feel all fuzzy inside.

In my life I have manifested one of my biggest dreams, traveling Europe. Sometimes when I walk down the stone streets I look around me and think, “Wow, I did it. I am really here”. I manifested an opportunity that I thought I would not experience until I was in my 40’s. I made enough money in one summer to live comfortably and travel often. It all started with me visualizing myself learning Italian, roaming the ancient streets that Michelangelo used to walk and passing by old beautiful churches and buildings. It helped that I had such a great support system too who reminded me everyday that hard work pays off.

There are three easy steps to the power of manifesting. It’s not as hard as you think!

Number one is have a goal and/or dream.

Number two is to be aware of opportunities to help you reach that goal.

Last but not least, get off your booty and find ways to make your life list a reality. A friend once told me to push myself to the limit I set for myself and then keep going. Manifesting takes place within those “keep going” moments when you push yourself just a half and inch further towards your goals. I never thought something so simply said would be so hard to do and so worthwhile. These words were the reason I went cliff diving off a 50-foot rock and hiked the mountains in Cinque Terre.

Now I am not saying to go jump off a cliff, but I do hope you find a passion, place or person that brings you great joy in life. Start crossing things off your life list today. Happy Mindful Monday to all you beautiful souls!
