Every Sunday, I stop by to share with you a few raw and real stories from my week in The Sunday Edit. Stories where I edited struggles into strengths and found Gem moments when shining seemed impossible. In a world where everyone filters what they share online, I want you to see you’re not alone and I want to inspire you to have more good days. You’ll also find what products have been making my life easier, what new Gem finds I’ve come across, and the best sales going on right now!

Life Update & Thoughts:
I was just telling my therapist the other day that either I either have recently acquired an increased awareness of the situations, people, and places in my life that take away from my own inner peace, or my tolerance level for unnecessary stress has significantly decreased. This month has been both a whirlwind and a slap in the face. With going through a breakup (a tremendously civil, reasonable, mature, and adult-like breakup) that’s taken a lot of emotional energy out of me, I’ve had to recalibrate what gives to and what takes away my energy because if I don’t save enough to take care of myself and my business, my world will absolutely fall apart. Minor things and frustrations that I used to be able to handle seem impossible right now. It’s weird because it’s not necessarily in a bad way, but a “I’m getting this out of my life right now” kind of way. Saying “no” to people is also something I’ve been embracing lately and I’m not going to lie, that feels reallllly good. Maintaining my energy levels have never been a skill I’ve mastered, so I’m using this time and these moments to get a clearer picture of what I need to do (and what I need to not do) to not be exhausted alllll of the time.
Also, only 13 more days until I’m Outer Banks bound, which I’m SO looking forward to!
Shines:
- I loved every minute of shooting by the water for Friday’s post. It was one of those days where I just truly felt so grateful to call what I do “work”!
- My friends have a cabin up by 7 Springs that I got to hang out at for the weekend. They have the most adorable kids that I love spending time with and it’s always peaceful to be a little closer to nature.
- It’s not easy to talk about a breakup online. But, since I’ve started sharing bits and pieces about it, I’ve had a bunch of you thank me for sharing about this topic and for talking about something most people don’t. I want to thank YOU for your support and encouragement! There’s so much strength that comes with knowing you’re not alone, which is why I’m committed to sharing the good and the bad parts of my life with you.
- I booked an Instagram campaign with a very well known ice cream brand. Ice cream is my favorite thing, so when something like this happens, I really feel like I’m making it – hahaha!
Struggles:
- I’m struggling to find that balance between keeping myself busy (to avoid thinking about life) and giving myself the time and space I need to be a creative business owner. It’s hard right now to be left alone with my intensely overthinking brain, but if I don’t set aside that time, nothing can get done blog wise! Ugh.
- Also, because I’m trying to stay busy, I’m behind on everything. Sorry if you’ve texted me and I haven’t responded. I’m getting there, I promise.
Currently Loving:
- Jumpsuits and rompers! I’ve been living in them non-stop. Jumpsuits are an especially great find to scoop up this time of year because you can style them for both summer and fall. I’m especially loving this one with whimsical florals, this adorable polka dot one, and I have a navy one that I wear ALL THE TIME that’s almost exactly like this one.
- These Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Hypoallergenic Facial Wipes. I mentioned the Yes To brand in my “10 Things to Treat Yourself to This Month” for July and these wipes are another product I’ve since tried. They get the dirt and makeup off my face without any irritation and they don’t leave behind a residue like other wipes I’ve tried!
