In This Post: Recent travels have revealed just how much I love packing this Gal Meets Glam Collection maxi dress in my suitcase. I know I can throw it on and walk out the door because it never wrinkles!

The Look: Gal Meets Glam Collection Dress (also comes in petite)| Report Shoes
The past few days have really been about reintegrating back into real life after the 10 day road trip I just went on! In between getting back into my regular routine of teaching yoga, photographing people and products, and fitting in my hours for the part-time job I have, I have been editing tons of photos from the trip and organizing my blog posts to share each part of the trip!
To me, an outfit enhances the experience of my current environment and has the power to help me feel more in the moment. I’m not sure how many people this will make sense to, but I just feel so in sync and aligned when I wear an outfit that reflects the character of my surroundings – particularly when I travel. Before any trip, I love drafting my most important outfits and visualizing where I’ll wear them in coordination with any tentative plans (which is particularly challenging when I travel with my family because they don’t have the same planning gene that I do) or spots I hope to visit.
From the moment I planned out the first stop of the road trip, I knew I had to wear this dress in Richmond, VA and I couldn’t wait to show it off at the gorgeous courtyard within the Linden Row Inn. When I bought the Gal Meets Glam Collection Aurora dress, I had already fallen in love with it on the website with the tiny buttons, dainty floral pattern, and flowy silhouette. However, once it arrived, I had no idea just home much I would fall in love with the structure of it. The polyester fabrication has just a touch of spandex to give the dress its comfortable stretch while still upholding shape. I was confident about packing this dress for the road trip since I had taken it with me just a few weeks ago to New Jersey. I have napped in this dress while snuggling my niece. I have worn this dress while driving in the car from Richmond, Virginia to Charleston, South Carolina (about a 4.5-hour drive). I have run out of room in my garment bag and shoved this dress in my suitcase. On none of these occasions did it get wrinkly!
Wrinkle-free goodness aside, you would not believe how many people stop me to ask where this dress is from. It really is a unique piece on the market with a classic, rather than on-trend, style that can be worn forever. It’s almost $80 off right now on the Gal Meets Glam website and also comes in a pink color. You can even get the blue option in petite sizes! I normally size down in Gal Meets Galm dresses because I find the run a bit big (I’m wearing a 2 and I normally wear a 4 in dresses).
