Toes in the Sand with Liberty 61 & Crash Jewelry

In October, I was so very thankful to spend a must-needed week in gorgeous Puerto Rico with my family. While I had hoped to show you some more beachy OOTD looks, my fam wasn’t quite so thrilled about taking my blog photos, so here’s what I ended up with, which is fine! My mind needed a break from coordinating outfits, scheduling time to take photos, and editing images… especially editing images.

Now, onto the fashion! Does this dress look familiar? I wore the same bamboo jersey and linen ruffled Liberty 61 dress in black ($340.00) for my first day at New York Fashion Week back in September! See, I told you this was an incredibly versatile piece! I adore Liberty 61 as a brand because the quality of the pieces are second to none. Each is designed with you – the responsible buyer, traveler, mother, daughter, helper, socially-conscious, whimsical creatives, purpose filled adventurer, and the environmentally considerate  – in mind.

The necklace is the Antique Savannah Junior Tassel Necklace ($152.00) from Bloom Jewelry. If you haven’t checked out the Fall Winter 2015 Collection yet, you must! And the next thing we have to talk about is this show stopping Mercedes SLS Snakeskin Cuff ($137.00) from Crash Jewelry! It is literally made from a sleek SLS Mercedes-Benz Roadster in matte Designo Magno Sylvanite Grey – talk about some serious upcycling! Decorative motifs run horizontally across the unisex cuff. A hammered brass band with contrasting copper rivets juxtaposes with a hand-engraved snakeskin texture and a row of hammered copper rivets. Finally, a silver band of the car’s exposed metal completes the intricate design. Truly a spectacularly riveting cuff to say the least! I’ll be doing a more in-depth feature on this brand soon since the concept is just so super cool. Stay tuned!

Finally, I want to leave you with an introduction to Gorgeous Cosmetics. I’m working on full-on beauty look post with their unbelievable products, but thought this would be a great way to show them off. My whole face in these images is Gorgeous with the exception of the lipstick! These pictures were taken after my family and I walked around for about an hour on vacation in the heat looking for a place to eat dinner. Eventually I just had to be like, “I need to get images now before the sun goes down too much!” I know, #bloggerproblems. Ohhhh, and this was already after one round of a mini “photoshoot” because my mom (loveeeeee you) had my phone zoomed in and they were all super pixelated. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I saw my makeup survived the evening’s adventures and was still flawlessly in place! Their claim to fame is the Base Perfect Foundation ($45.00), which is literally no joke. It’s a dream and delicately floats on your skin. The smooth, oil free emulsion blends effortlessly and has special light diffusing pigments amplify that the light, giving skin the appearance of a healthy luminosity. You won’t want to use any other foundation ever again. I cannot wait to share more extraordinary products from Gorgeous Cosmetics with you very soon.
