It’s that time of year again: Christmas music has arrived! Now, I know that not everyone gets super excited and is all about Christmas songs, so I thought it would be cool to post some non-traditional holiday songs that might win over those of you who don’t typically get into the holiday tunes. You’ll find that there are many different versions by many different artists for a few of the songs on this list, so I simply tried to pick my favorite versions of each. The version I post might not be your favorite, but there’s a strong chance that an artist who is more up your alley has also covered that song, so it might be worth your while to investigate! Okay, enough blabbering. On to the playlist!

I’ve always enjoyed this original Christmas song by one of my favorite, most consistent bands.
Bon Jovi – I Wish Everyday Could Be Like Christmas
I can still remember listening to this song on a cassette tape single back in the day. It always gets me in the holiday spirit!
Relient K – Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
I’ve been listening to Relient K since I was in middle school, so it was necessary to put one of their many Christmas songs on this list.
Ariana Grande – Santa Baby
Another artist who has shared her love for the holidays with unique original and Christmas cover songs. I could listen to Ariana sing all day, so the holidays are no exception.
‘N Sync – Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays
Yes, this is necessary. I personally believe that this song should be on every Christmas playlist until the end of time.
This Wild Life – Sleigh Ride
These guys have a beautiful musical style, and they expertly applied it to this cover of a Christmas classic.
Shaun Novak – Last Christmas
Hey, that’s me! This one is a few years old now, but the holidays come around every year, so why not?
Justin Bieber feat. Mariah Carey – All I Want For Christmas
I enjoy Justin Bieber. Sorry, not sorry. I also grew up listening to a lot of Mariah Carey, so this cover song always makes it on my holiday playlist.
Elvis Presley feat. Carrie Underwood – I’ll Be Home For Christmas
This version of this particular song may not be very well known, but it’s one of my favorites. I love listening to Elvis sing Christmas songs, and when you add Carrie’s angelic voice to the mix, you really can’t go wrong.
Christina Aguilera – This Christmas
Another one of my all time favorite vocalists, Christina makes this heavily covered Christmas song feel extra special.
