Since the first round of planner recommendations for this year has been such a hit, I figured I’d round up a second batch of the best 2018 planners for all you planner animals! Every planner suggested below comes highly recommended from a creative entrepreneur currently building her empire, so you know these referrals are legit.
Also, don’t forget to tell me in the comments which planner you’ve decided on for 2018, even if it’s not one that’s listed!
1.) Target Planners ($12)
Recommended by me!
I love a fancy planner as much as the next girl, but sometimes all the bells and whistles get so expensive. The problem becomes, how do you find something cheap and CUTE? Target is your answer (for this and basically everything you need in life). I’ve bought planners from Target numerous years in the past and they have the best selection of basic planners that also look adorable. If I were you, I’d go with this chic pineapple planner, because it’s only $24.99 and says “You Totally Got This” on the front, or this one that says “Hustle + Heart Will Set You Apart”. But this one ($15), this one ($11), and this one ($11) are also delightful.
2.) Refresh Weekly Planner ($40)
Recommended by Jenna Murillo herself!
The Refresh Weekly Planner was born out of a desire for a planner that values progress over perfection and clarity over chaos. The 2018 edition is packed with new features designed to help you make progress where it matters. Featuring the weekly spread we all know and love, the days are divided into a duo scheduled and to do list format, giving equal space to each day of the week (including weekends!). The quarterly goal setting pages help keep you on track all year long, and each weekly spread features “this week I’m focusing on” and gratitude sections — all with the purpose of helping you move forward on your goals a week at a time. Plan for progress where it counts, no matter what 2018 has in store for you.
3.) Passion Planner ($35)
Recommended by Annie Frazer, owner of The Poppy Stock
I love Passion Planners! It breaks down goals, and makes it so simple to separate personal and business goals/to do lists. It also makes it easy to prioritize! What I love about the Passion Planner is it helps you make a blueprint to your life. Not just your day, week, or month. It helps you create 5 year, 1 year, and 3 month goals, then helps you break it down from there to ensure you are actually working towards your goal. I’m a mom and a business owner, so having a planner that can allow me to easily separate personal goals and tasks from business personal goals and tasks is a must! Now none of that may necessarily be quote worthy, but it is a great planner!
4.) The Happiness Planner ($54)
Recommended by personal stylist, Christina Stein Imberlina
I purchased the Happiness Planner, and it has made a world of difference in trying to turn the negatives into positives. Thinking positively is sometimes tough, but it gets a little easier when I’m able to write it down and prep for my week ahead!
5.) Conquer Your Year: The Ultimate Planner from Natalie MacNeil ($11)
Recommend by business and marketing strategist, Maggie Giele
I just moved, so things are a touch crazy. I love Natalie MacNeil’s Conquer Your Year: The Ultimate Planner because it helps give me structure without being overwhelming. The planner helps you break down your big goals into ‘sprints’, and those sprints into weeks. So you create very actionable day plans that directly feed in to your big, dreamy goals!
6.) BestSelf Co The SELF Journal ($35)
Recommended by Christy Laurence, Founder of Instagram Planning App Plann
I’m loving BestSelf Co The SELF Journal! I’ve found it really helps you understand that the secret to crushing your goals is what you do inside your daily habit. It’s great to chunk out 3 months with a big goal and then use the planner to break it down into tiny daily deliverables! It makes what you want much more achievable and helps you understand how to prioritize workload when you’re feeling overwhelmed (and makes sure you’ve always set aside time to smash it).
7.) Rule the World Planner ($36)
Recommended by Jenn Nash Franks, owner of Nash Franks Creative
I love the empowering and inspirational messages throughout the Rule the World Planner. I also like that it’s simple and clean enough for me to really focus on what I’m writing inside. Places for goal setting helped keep me on track. Llana, the designer, also sprinkles some wit throughout, which I really enjoy.
This planner is also recommend by one of my entrepreneur idols, Heather Crabtree of The Savvy Community. She said, “I love the coloring and quote pages in the Rule the World Planner!”
8.) Plum Paper Planner ($32)
Recommended by McKenna Howard, owner of The Wild Sprout
I used to be a person with a million lists, but with the customization options of the Plum Planner, I’ve been able to completely eliminate the need to write extra notes because I truly have the space to put each thought and task in a place that is practical. Aesthetically, it is beautiful inside and out, and I will be ordering my third before long! You have the option to customize it to your personal needs (i.e. adding checklists, to-do lists, etc.). It’s got plenty of room for all the daily activities, plus tons of other options.
9.) Ban.do Design Planner ($20)
Recommended by Lauren Harbury, writer and creator at In Unrelated News
I’m obsessed with all things Ban.do, and when I saw their planner, I had to have it. It has the perfect amount of space to keep me on top of all of my to-dos. It doesn’t allow for frivolous entries or planning your day by the hour – which I hate – so I think it’s the perfect pick!
10.) Planner Pad ($30)
Recommended by Rain Jensen, owner of Senova Web Consulting
I love the Planner Pad because, often times, I think in chunks of what I have to do. The Planner Pad is a funnel system where you start with your categories. So, I break my categories up into SEO & Web Design, Social Media Management, Sales, Client Relations, and Me Needs (meaning time to refuel, relax, etc. which I NEED to schedule). So the first row is listing the things I need to do for each category. THEN I list under the days of the week the things I plan to get done on which days. On the bottom I will sketch out a really loose and tentative schedule (“call Client S”, “Sales call with B”, “Refuel time”, etc.) that’s very flexible, and it just helps me keep in mind the plan. Oh, and I can schedule specific times then, too.
