10 Things to Treat Yourself to This Month

February doesn’t have to only be about Valentine’s Day and buying gifts for others; treat yourself, too! This month’s selections include everything from skincare products to custom candy, so there’s something for everyone. Just as you should every month, take some time to love yourself this February.

Whether you’re gifting for someone special or treating yourself, flowers are just essential this time of year. I’ve found that you just cannot beat the selection, quality, and price of the florals at Trader Joe’s! They never, ever let me down when I need to grab a bouquet for a shoot or some blooms to brighten up my desk space.

2.) Dove’s New DermaSeries

Dove just introduced their new DermaSeries, and after testing the gentle cleansing face wash [c/o], replenishing body lotion [c/o], and expert repairing balm [c/o], I’m happy to report that this line is a godsend for the sensitivities that come with winter skin. Each product is fragrance free and has been designed for instant dry skin relief. Dove also nailed the textures of these products – the face wash is gentle but effective, the repair balm is long lasting without the heavy texture, and the body lotion rapidly absorbs. Absolutely worth trying, especially for the low price points!

If you simply cannot wait for flip flop season, mules are perfect for you in the meantime. These backless, slip on shoes actually date back to Ancient Rome when they were worn as bedroom slippers. Now, however (after a bit of repurposing), they’re completely appropriate to wear out in public, and they’re both stylish and comfortable!

With all the love in the air, February is the perfect time of year to show yourself some extra TLC and indulge in a few necessary luxuries that make you feel on top of the world. 10.) A Class at Orangetheory Fitness

I’m always looking for new workouts to try, and for the past few months, I’ve been seeing praise for classes at Orangetheory Fitness ALL over the place. I couldn’t wait to try it, but the closest one to us is still a bit of a drive. This week, however, I decided I’d put up with the extra time in the car for myself to try something new! The verdict? I loved it! The class is a half cardio and half strength building. It’s also neat that you wear a heart monitor with your stats showing up on the screens to see when you’re not pushing yourself enough and when you’re overworking yourself. I cannot wait to go back!
