Here in Pittsburgh, one day it will be 90 and humid and the next, it’s 55 and you’re turning on the heat. You literally never know when you might need a transition look, even in the middle of June.
On this rather chilly day, I took my Black Liberty Dress from Liberty 61 (which you also saw during my NYFW looks) and the same Aldo Ankle Booties, but wanted a more Spring appropriate look. The mosaic scarf with the floppy hat (totally out of my usual fashion comfort zone BTW – I just don’t feel like I have the right kind of head for hats, you know?) accomplished that.
I love Liberty 61 so much because, well #1) the founder and designer, Kass Carrell, is a total gems, #2) each piece is something you will have in your wardrobe forever, and #3) everything has pockets! Kass focuses on timeless designs instead of trends. She tells Moxie Magazine, “I make things that will look good next year and the year after, and the year after that, that can be worn in every season and create a look that can totally change with different accessories.” Mission accomplished, Kass!
