I’m not afraid to admit that guys can be difficult to shop for. Now, obviously I can’t speak for all men, but I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that I’m pretty particular about what I like. Whether it’s clothes, cologne, body wash, etc., you’re probably better off just letting me pick it out instead of trying to surprise me. Because of this, I thought it might be a good idea to make a list of some of the things I’d enjoy getting for Valentine’s Day, all of which I also think would be a safe option for a lot of men out there. If you’re struggling with what to get that special guy in your life, hopefully this list can get you on the right track!

1.) A Comfy Hoodie
You can never really go wrong with a comfortable hoodie. Even during the summer, a hoodie is often required just to wear around the house. This “Point Sal” Zip Hoodie from Mododoc [sp] is easily one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing I’ve ever owned, so that’s why it’s my personal recommendation.
2.) HICKIES
You may have seen this nifty elastic lace system showing up around here lately, but it’s for good reason! They can replace the shoe laces on your favorite pair of shoes, making them even better than before. HICKIES [sp] offer three lacing options and tons of color options, so you can find something that will work for anyone.
3.) Music
I know that I can’t get specific here with recommendations, but, as a musician, I thought it was important to remind you that music is always a great gift option. If you have a general understanding of the type of music your guy likes, I would suggest getting him some new music in that genre for him to check out. Or, grab him an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription. One of my favorite feelings is when I discover a new band or artist that I instantly fall in love with.
4.) Oculus Rift Virtual Reality Headset
VR has been on the rise for awhile now, and while I was highly skeptical of it for some time, I’m finally on board. There are so many cool things to experience from a virtual reality headset, from games to movies to tours of places you’ve never been; it brings your dreams to life in a way like never before. The Oculus Rift is one of the best on the market, so you can’t go wrong with this option.
5.) Amazon Gift Card
When all else fails, get a gift card. Now, I offer this as a last resort, especially for Valentine’s Day, but I would personally be 100% happy if I was gifted one. It’s not personal and doesn’t provide a memorable moment, but it will allow your guy to get whatever he wants without you having the stress of wondering if he’ll like what you got him. Plus, Amazon offers everything.
6.) Cologne
Every man likes to smell good (I think). There are many cologne options to choose from, and you may already know what your guy likes (good for you if you do), but I’m recommending Polo Black by Ralph Lauren. The reason for that is because it has been around for a long time and has proven to be a top choice by a lot of men, so if you’re not sure where to start, this is a good place.
7.) DOVE Chocolate
I mean, of course this had to be on the list. There are countless chocolate option to choose from, so this comes down to a personal preference, but I personally love Dove chocolate, so this Caramel Chocolate Candy Heart Gift Box is my recommendation.
8.) Body Wash
I am very particular about the body wash I’ll use. My skin tends to dry out easily, so I like something that moisturizes but also smells good. I also don’t like gel body wash very much. It’s just weird. I recently discovered this Extra Fresh Foaming Body Wash by Dove Men+Care [c/o], and it’s everything I want in a body wash. If you want your man smelling good and feeling fresh, this is definitely a Valentine’s Day gift you should consider.
9.) Dinner from HelloFresh
While I don’t mind cooking, I really do enjoy having dinner made for me. More specifically, some sort of home cooked meal. This process has now been made easier than ever thanks to HelloFresh [c/o]! They offer tons of different options for everyone, and the speed in which the shipment arrives at your door is unbeatable.
