Wrangler Icons 11wwz Jeans Review

My Wrangler Icons 11wwz Jeans Review! This vintage inspired pair of straight leg high waisted jeans is so flattering and has an amazing fix! Keep reading for more details.

If you’ve caught my multiple outfits with grey jeans lately, you know that I’m currently obsessed with the Wrangler Icons 11wwz jeans that I added a few months ago to my wardrobe (my life has CHANGED since figuring out how to find jeans that fit). Now that I’ve spent a lot of time wearing these figure-flattering jeans, it’s time for a Wrangler Jeans Review!

Meet the Icons 11wwz western slim jeans from Wrangler

After reading multiple Wrangler Jeans reviews (you should always do your research before buying jeans) on the women’s Icons 11wwz, I knew I needed a pair. I was sold after multiple reviews claimed that these work well for women with curvy figures and that they stay up on their own so you don’t have to wear a belt with them.

I can confirm that both of these are true! They show off my shape in a way that I feel really confident about, don’t squish my bum (but make it look amazing), and stay put – no belt required.

I also wanted to invest in a pair of Wrangler jeans because I’ve heard that they last for a long time. In fact, the header on the Wrangler website page for these jeans even states, “Icons Last Forever”. So far, I have nothing but amazing things to say about the quality of these jeans. They are beautifully made.

How do these Wrangler jeans fit?

Many of the reviews I read on the Wrangler Icons said that these run small, but I’m glad I got my usual size (27). I bought these second hand, so they’ve likely already been broken in. However, this adds further evidence to my preference for sizing down when it comes to buying jeans. These jeans were probably tight on whoever bought them first and then molded over time to achieve the perfect fit for someone who usually buys a size 27.

Remember denim always, always loosens up, even if it doesn’t have stretch in it (these Icons are 99% cotton and 1% elastane).

About the 11WWZ Slim Jean

These are a slim straight leg high rise jean. The word “slim” in a straight leg jean description often makes me nervous because I have muscular calves, but I didn’t have any issues! Wrangler claims that these are “reissued from our legendary denim archive”, but not all reviews agree that the fit perfectly matches vintage Wranglers. However, they are certainly vintage inspired with their waist accentuating look and ultra high rise (11″ to be exact).

As someone who has hips that don’t normally fit into true vintage jeans, I loved that somehow, the vintage high-waisted fit worked for me! They truly are iconic and I can’t wait to have these in my denim collection forever (or for as long as they fit me).

I’m also obsessed with the pockets. I can put my phone or credit card in them and know, with confidence, that they won’t fall out!

Wrangler Icons fit vs Heritage fit

If you’re already a fan of the Heritage jeans from Wrangler, definitely size down in these. Even though my Icons were pre-owned, they have a perfect fit compared to the Heritage straight-leg jeans that I’ll be posting about soon. I should have tried a 26 in the Heritage fit and could maybe have even gone with a 25. So, if you have a pair of the Heritage jeans already, you’re going to want to go up a size, maybe even 2 in these.

Where to buy jeans from the Wrangler Icons collection:

Luckily, Icons are part of the Amazon Wrangler Jeans collection if that’s where you do most of your shopping. There’s also an ultra-light Blue Rhapsody wash available directly on the Wrangler website and a medium to dark denim “1 Year Wash” as well. I was able to find Wrangler Icons at Nordstrom as well!
