An everyday outfit:
Tribal Boyfriend Jeans [c/o] | Tribal Turtleneck [c/o] | Tribal Vest [c/o]
Truth be told, I made my sister take these photos (don’t worry, I threw her 10 bucks for it) of me months ago with the intention of publishing them a week or two later and well, here we are. It was like the one 25 degrees day that we had in October, which makes me appreciate my 14-year-old attitude filled sister even more for putting up with all of my photo requests. Thanks, Lexi.
As much as I thought I could keep up a M/W/F/S blogging schedule by myself, that’s just not realistic with everything going on in my life right now (if you’re nosy, the “Living” category is where you’ll find my personal stuff). Which brings me to an important lesson I’ve learned recently (thanks to the help of my therapist) – what it means to be doing “my best” changes. What I am capable of changes with seasons of life. Just because I am capable of producing less content right now because of said life things, does not mean that I’m slacking or not doing my best.
They say everything happens when its supposed to and luckily for you, that holds true because everything in this look is on sale right now! Keep scrolling for details!
The Perfect Boyfriend Jean
I am not a jeans person (whoever said they were comfortable clearly does not spend enough time in yoga pants), but man do these black distressed boyfriend jeans (originally $95, on sale for $48) make me question that! I’ve been open about my struggles to find the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans – remember when I even went so far as to steal jeans from my boyfriend’s (at the time) closet to achieve the boyfriend jean look. These jeans from Tribal are the new love of my life though because they are so comfy (here’s the version in regular denim instead of black). There’s no zipper or button! You just pull them on, pair with anything from sneakers to ankle booties, and you’re on your way. I love how they’re just the right amount of distressed, too – enough to give them an edge, but not so much that they add messiness to your outfit. You can also find Tribal’s beloved pull-on jean on Amazon!
Layering the look
This long-sleeve turtleneck (originally $69, now $35) has also been a staple of mine this season. It’s light, which makes it perfect for layering, but the fabric has a lovely ribbed texture to it that gives it enough substance to wear on its own. For this look, I paired it with this fringed plaid vest (originally $115, now $46), which lives up to all the expectations of things we love about winter fashion – a cozy texture, a heartwarming pattern, and pockets!
