This post on summer essentials is sponsored by BabbleBoxx
From a fun inflatable pool in the backyard and zoo trips to weekend getaways and ice cream dates, I could not be happier that my favorite time of year is officially here. I’ve put together a summer items list so that you can enjoy the precious days of this season and be ready for anything. Some of these summer must have items might seem so simple, but it’s the little things that can really impact the quality of the day!

Here are my summer essentials of 2021
Shampoo from Ultra Swim
Aside from sunscreen, my next most-important summer beauty essential is Ultra Swim Chlorine Removal Shampoo. If you read the Ultra Swim reviews on any retailer’s website, people literally rave about this stuff. With having blonde hair, I’m prone to dryness and discoloration whenever I spend time in a pool. Not only does this stuff help with chlorine removable in pool hair, but it helps with tangles and makes my hair more manageable after swimming. The moisturizing formula is safe enough to use after every swim and is great for kids, too!
On-the-go Energy
As you’re all aware of, I love my coffee. With summer days often packed with a full itinerary of fun, I don’t always have time to make any at home or make a Dunkin’ stop on the way. That’s why you’ll always find a few Energy Stix from 4C in my bag. 4C Energy Stix offer a gradual, long lasting energy boost compared to the rush that happens with traditional energy drinks (which I am not a fan of). They’re lightly carbonated with a fruity, summery taste. Being able to pour one right in to a cup or bottle of water makes them especially convenient!
Pamprin for Period Relief
Summer is my time of year. It’s when I feel most alive, energized, and like myself. That can easily be taken away for a week when it’s that time of the month. That’s why I make sure I’m always stocked up on Pamprin Multi-Symptom for period relief. It’s particularly effective at helping me tackle cramps, bloating (which becomes especially important on pool days), and period pain so that I can stay on top of the day and be present for the adventure.
Liquid Bandages from New Skin
If there’s one under-recognized summer necessity, it is New Skin Liquid Bandages. Between spending time in water and sweating, there’s just no hope for traditional bandages to stay in place on summer days. New Skin is always in my bag because it seals out water, dirt, and germs from cuts and blisters – especially in places bandages can’t reach. Application is easy and the formula kills 99.9% of germs. Fun fact, they just came out with a new formula for sensitive skin, which is the 1st and only hypoallergenic liquid bandage.
Oversized Towels
There’s something about an oversized towel that makes a day at the pool or the beach even better.
A Stylish, Functional Backpack
When I’m not reaching for my beach bag, my everyday summer essentials go in to my Hershel Backpack.
A Go-To Cotton Dress
For walks along the beach, an evening game of mini golf, strolls through a local garden, and other low key outdoor activities, I love having a breathable cotton dress on hand to reach for. Nothing has gotten more wear this summer than my 100% cotton Hill House Home Ellie nap dress (except for maybe my Summersalt swimsuits) because it’s so comfortable and easy to throw on.
Summersalt Swimsuits
When it comes fun things to buy for summer, picking new swimwear is always my favorite part (although our adorable Minnidip pool makes the list, too). Summersalt bathing suits (a female founded brand) are my top choice when it comes to functional, summer swimwear. I’ve never loved another bathing suit they way I love my Summersalt Sidestroke. The fit cannot be beat and I feel so cute in it. This summer, I also added The Ruffle Backflip to my swimwear collection and both continue to hold up impeccably well.
Summer Activewear
When the day calls for a more active adventure, I reach for my MPG Sport capri leggings with comfortable sports bra, cute tank top, and my favorite sneakers.
Sunglasses
Not just one pair of sunglasses, I recommend multiple (even better if they’re from an eco-friendly eyewear brand!). Leave a pair in your car, your backpack, your beach bag. on your kitchen counter – anywhere that you’ll be able to reach for them easily. Summer adventures are far less fun when you have to squint your way through them.
Reusable Snack Bags
Every outdoor adventures calls for snacks, so you can best that I always have a variety of things to munch on in my backpack. I prefer reusable snack bags to cut down on waste, especially when hanging out outdoors. The Grove reusable bags are my favorite. Not only are the prints so cute, but they seal tight and keep food fresh.
